was ist fremd, was ist heimisch? warum ist die üppigkeit der gebietsfremden pflanzen sowohl schön als auch bedrohlich?
ich banne die opulente schönheit dieser pflanzen direkt auf fotopapier, ohne kamera. die pflanzen liegen dabei auf dem fotopapier und verändern dessen chemie – sie sind aktiver teil der bildgestaltung.
what is foreign, what is native? why is the abundance of the non-native plants both beautiful and threatening?
i capture the opulent beauty of these plants directly onto photographic paper, without a camera. the plants lie on the photographic paper and alter its chemistry – they are an active part in the process of the making.
kartoffeln anbauen / growing potatoes
ich beteilige mich am projekt „teilen auf dem acker“ von klimaglarus. wir pflanzen, pflegen, ernten kartoffeln. glarus versteht sich als milchwirtschaftsland, hätte aber eigentlich eine lange kartoffeltradition.
Bei den einsätzen habe ich meine analoge kamera dabei. die filme entwickle ich in selbstgemachtem entwickler aus (u.a.) kartoffelkraut.
i’m taking part in a community based potato growing project run by klimaglarus. we plant, tend and harvest potatoes. dairy farming is high in glarus, but it actually has a long tradition of potato growing.
i take my analogue camera with me on the field. i develop the film using a homemade developer made from (among other things) potato tops.
